    After two days of intensive sessions that ended on the 9th of June, 2020, the induction of new employees of the Nigerian Red Cross Society came to an end in Abuja. The induction was full of presentations on security, strategy, administration, finance and human resources.

    Nigerian Red Cross Mobilizes Funds for Turkey/Syrian Earthquake Relief and Rehabilitation

    The Nigerian Red Cross society (NRCS) was established by an Act of Parliament in 1960 as an auxiliary to the Government in Humanitarian Services. The Act empowers the Society to support the Government in response to disasters, emergencies in the implementation of the  Geneva convention and its additional protocols which the Government of the Federation has acceded to. In 1961, following the official recognition by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent, Nigerian Red Cross Society became 86th member Nation of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
